Understanding IB and Multi-Agent Commission Workflows

How introducing broker and multi-agent commission structures work, and what to define before automating them.

IB basics

An introducing broker (IB) refers clients to a brokerage and receives a commission according to an agreed plan. The brokerage must attribute each client correctly and calculate commissions consistently.

When several agents are involved

In multi-agent structures, more than one party may be entitled to a share of commission from the same activity — for example a regional partner and a sub-partner. The split rules must be written down clearly before any system can apply them.

An illustrative example

Illustrative only: if a plan pays a total commission per lot and splits it between a master partner and a sub-partner in agreed proportions, the system needs the total, the proportions and the hierarchy to compute each share.

Transparency for partners

A partner portal that shows partners their referrals and commission figures reduces disputes and support load.
