Planning a Brokerage Risk Notification Workflow

A step-by-step approach to designing risk notifications that are useful rather than noisy.

1. Define the conditions

List the risk conditions your policy cares about and the thresholds that matter. Fewer, well-chosen conditions are more useful than many.

2. Assign recipients

Decide who receives each notification, including out-of-hours cover.

3. Write the response

For each notification, document what the recipient should check and which actions are permitted.

4. Review regularly

Review which alerts led to action and adjust thresholds to reduce noise.
